NEBRASKA PEACH AND POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY, IOWA, GRAPE DAY This day was set aside for the free distribution of samples of Nebraska peaches and Pottawattamie County, Iowa, grapes. The peaches were distributed form the Horticultural Building and something like 1000 baskets of ripe luscious peaches were given away. The grapes were distributed from the Pottawattamie County Wigwam and several tons were carried away by the thousands of visitors that were attracted on account of this distribution.In the evening a MASKED CARNIVAL was given on the grand court under the auspices of the bureau of entertainment. At 8:30 P.M., led by the McCook Band about 500 Omaha Society people en masque promenaded around the grand court. Confetti was used in profusion and the evening proved a most enjoyable one to all spectators. ![]()
